Something Wicked!

Sorry, you'll have to actually make clicky-clicky to see the great cover. (Apparently my clicky-pasty skills are absent today )

But here is the ever so clever Renee Harrell's very intriguing blurb:

After a nasty break-up with her boyfriend, high school student Ann Lippens is invited to go to the town's new night club, Whispers. At the club, she finds herself in the arms of the mysterious and handsome Cody Rhodes. When she rejects Cody's advances, the musician turns his attention to Ann's best friend, Kim. Kim couldn't be happier.

Within days, Kim is changing her appearance and behavior to please her new boyfriend. Ann investigates the singer only to discover that Cody is the very image of a long-dead rock star named Bobby Winters. Winters and his band had a dark and troubled history until their fiery demise. Bobby's string of girlfriends all died early, suspicious deaths.

Discovering the secret timetable for Kim's murder, Ann realizes she's the only one who can stop it. But it's not Kim that Cody truly wants....

I first encountered Renee Harrell (yeah, don't know how to put the accent over the e and make Renee appear here properly either. Sigh, sometimes I swear I should have my keyboard confiscated) anyhoo, we met on the Absolute Write Water Cooler and they were kind enough to share some of their writing. If you know me, you know critter lovin' is not one of the things I first reach for in my personal reading, but Renee Harrell made a werewolf hawt. That's talent! Check out Wicked Games here.

Something Wicked, Wicked Games. Hmm, this seems to be a rather wicked writing partnership. To learn more about this talented writing team stop by their fun blog Mars Needs Writers. (Psst, take a bottle of wine when you go.)

Re: Look What I Found...

Lainey, thanks so much for the kind notice.

Your wonderful readers oughta know our story targets the Nancy Drew-loving 12 - 14 year old age bracket -- probably a little young for your crowd (we say this, knowing that your gang is open to ANYTHING).

And we remember very well who helped us make a werewolf hawt....

'Welcome Renee

No worries. FWIW, several of my regulars--if a blog as irregular as this one has been of late is entitled to claim 'regulars'--are avid YA readers and/or writers.

I can add the 'disclaimer' to the post if you'd like, but I thought your well-worded book blurb and adorable cover made the genre and target audience clear. =)
