Jackpot

5 STARS: "From the beginning, this book hit the ground running. The sex is great. This is a sultry romance. Enjoy a guilty pleasure; indulge in this book." -- Ashley Turlington, Review Your Book

Long and Short Reviews Book of The Week! This book is full of love, laughter, tears, and frustrations as both her main characters work their way through the blockades that threaten to keep them apart. She never disappoints. This is another book well worth reading. Read the Rest at LASR

Literary Nymphs Reviews 4.5/5
"With one of the best opening hook ups I’ve ever read, Jackpot is tantalizing from the start, the strength and sex appeal of the leading characters catching my attention straight away. The author does a great job of creating the setting and I found it very easy to immerse myself in Cassidy’s life from the start."

Cozumel Karma

5/5 Nymphs. An outstanding read! Click for full review!

I absolutely loved Cozumel Karma from the start and can’t recommend it highly enough to fans of the genre. I was instantly captivated by Maggie and Pat and the trouble they’ve had to go through to get where they are today was believable and at times, heart-wrenching. Maggie’s development in particular was a success as she starts out as a strong, independent woman whose duty to her family is becoming detrimental to her own well-being but as things progress, we see just what an effect her childhood has had on her. I really did worry at times that it might all be too much for her to overcome and I honestly don’t know how the character survived this long with her family and upbringing dragging her down at every possible opportunity. There is intrigue with the character of Cole as it is obvious from the start that he is just what Maggie needs but his life is a mystery to her and she fights the desire to learn more about him as she believes no one is ever as good as they first seem. The entire cast is so strong and I really was kept guessing to the end just how these characters could possibly get their happy ending. The plot grabbed my attention and one plot twist in particular, which I won’t spoil here, is worthy of much praise. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Action and Satisfaction

"Action and Satisfaction" is the touching and entertaining story of Eva and Seth. Eva is a strong, professional woman who had a hard time growing up, but has made the best of it and came out on top...Seth is a good looking man who has always enjoyed his life. He is an architect and never stays in any one place any longer than it takes to complete the job and move on to the next. He always looks forward to taking jobs in his hometown, so that he and Eva can reconnect. When his latest homecoming doesn’t turn out as he hoped, he is left wounded and disappointed...I enjoyed every aspect of this story, from the strong and likeable characters to the interesting story of Eva and Seth. The editing was clean, the passion was hot, the writing flowed well and the plot moved at a perfect pace."

The story moves at a nice pace and the writing ran smoothly. The plot was fun, with just the right amount of melodrama and decadence counterbalanced with very human characters with flaws that were displayed for all to see.

   The Trouble With Tessa

THE TROUBLE WITH TESSA is filled with characters that seem so real. They deal with prejudice, financial worries, care of the sick and aged, catastrophic illness, babies born out of wedlock, and inner conflict that cause a barrel of tears and any number of sleepless nights.

The roller coaster of emotional highs and lows keeps the reader turning pages. The author’s occasional misuse of words causes a stutter from time to time, but the compelling need to find out what happens to these characters keeps the reader’s interest.

THE TROUBLE WITH TESSA, a story of forgiveness, acceptance, and unconditional love, examines attitudes that hurt, but it also shows how love can overcome monumental obstacles.~Read the review at Long & Short Reviews

I liked the characterizations in The Trouble with Tessa and how Tanner and Erin’s relationship slowly built. Tessa played a very realalistic role in this story. This is a feel good story that will have you caring for the characters. Night Owl Romance

The Music of Marcus

The Music of Marcus is beautiful, poignant and inspiring. The characters are not only refreshing, but lively and delightful. Their emotions can be felt by this reader and the way they are sketched, they play realistic parts that make them strong in all their actions. Lainey Bancroft takes a heartbreaking event and instills life into this compelling read. She pens a storyline with a child with a disability, and how it affects others around them. I admire the fact that she wrote a story like this. Learning to cope, and falling in love again, is something some people just close the door to, and this story shows the connections that many deal with daily, especially when trauma is part of their life. This is an outstanding read.

"I absolutely fell in love with The Music of Marcus. It is an uplifting story that captures the heart. Carrie and Marcus are convincing in their interactions and emotions. Lainey Bancroft has written a magnificent story about autism, picking up the pieces, and falling in love with that special someone that understands. This poignant read made my heart leap with joy."

Settling BackSettling Back

I read a draft of this, and am fascinated how some relatively minor changes have made it so much better, and the conflict so much tighter. Nice hometown romance feeling about a woman unwilling to settle, wanting?to make sure she's making the right choice for her life, but all her?friends/family are giving her conflicting advice and yet criticising?her for not choosing. I found them very believable (annoying) and am glad I don't have them giving me advice. I loved to hate Heather, and am glad I don't have anyone like that in my family. I'll probably pick this up in print format when it comes out this summer, because I don't really like ebooks, and this one will be a keeper.

Jazzy dialogue, much of it is between the two very different, yet very attracted main characters, really carries this story. Bancroft has careful attention to detail, but never gets bogged down in descriptions. In 'Settling back' a very complex main character reviews life, considers relationships between other couples, and wonders at her own choices. This is a journey any of us might share: 4 books

"Dare To Dance is a darling short story by Lainey Bancroft. Alex is courageous, even if she won't admit it, and a wonderful woman. Life has not always been easy for her and she is determined not to let it get her down. Matt has spent years longing for Alex but he didn't feel he was good enough for the beautiful woman. Now that he has her in his arms he is determined to claim the woman who got away. I loved his determination to reclaim Alex. I loved this story and it stayed in my mind long after the last page. I would love to know where the characters are today and how their relationship developed. An enjoyable read, Dare To Dance has its place on my keeper shelf!"

"Dare to Dance is a wonderful story by Lainey Bancroft is a fun story about friendship and finding that special someone. Alex's two friends keep you on your toes till the end. Suzette and Riana find a way to get Alex over her shyness and go for the dream that never happened. Dare to Dance is what true friendship is all about. Giving but asking for nothing in return is something that I have learned from this story. True friendship is hard to find and when you do treasure it forever. Ms Bancroft I will treasure this story for a long time. Thank you for a fantastic story and a fun read."

I enjoyed all the minor characters in this story as well: Alexandra and Riana, Suzette's best friends since high school, and Matt, Alex's fiancé and second chance at love. And Hank's tacky roadside bar, Handlebar Hank's Honky Tonk, is a place where you'll feel you'd like to pull up a saddle stool to the horseshoe-shaped bar and stay awhile.

"Ready to Reel" is a charming story, and I only wish it had been longer. I'd like to know what Ms. Bancroft has in store for these characters next!

"Opposites attract is definitely the theme in Ready to Reel, but it is love none the less. You are routing for these two lonely people to make a go of it and the compassion these characters show each other is a gold star for Ms. Bancroft who does an excellent job of conveying these realistic feelings. Though a short read it is one you should not miss for a quick feel good escape from the every day."

"A short, sassy, and lighthearted read that shows the true emotions as a woman slowly falls in love with a man she might not be able to keep.

Self conscious about her weight, she never thought a man would look at her and find her sexy. But there's one Frenchman that can't get enough of his new love.

I really liked that it wasn't your normal fairy tale-it was more of real life and real love. And that is a plus in my opinion."
